250 Hours of Adoration & 250 Works of Mercy Initiative

June 22, 2026 – July 4, 2026

Purpose

To celebrate the 250th anniversary of America's independence, the USCCB is encouraging Catholics to participate in 250 collective hours of Eucharistic Adoration and 250 works of mercy leading up to July 4. Parishes collectively contribute to this goal, meaning every person present for a holy hour counts toward the overall 250-hour target.

Guided by the USCCB to charity, we propose a parish-wide initiative to complete:

• 250 Hours of Eucharistic Adoration
• 250 Works of Mercy

This initiative invites parishioners of all ages to deepen their relationship with Christ through prayer before the Blessed Sacrament and to put their faith into action through acts of mercy and service.

The Holy Trinity 250 Campaign became much more than an effort to reach a numerical goal—it became a living expression of our parish's faith in action. Together, our parish exceeded the goal of 250 Hours of Eucharistic Adoration, spending 257 hours before the Blessed Sacrament in prayer for our nation, our parish, and one another.

Our Works of Mercy also surpassed expectations, with 453 acts of mercy recorded. Parishioners embraced Christ's call to serve by visiting the sick and homebound, preparing cards for veterans, seniors, and those who were ill, serving meals to people experiencing homelessness and food insecurity through the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, donating clothing and food to those in need, praying the Patriotic Rosary, and participating in the Mass with the Anointing of the Sick. These acts reflected both the corporal and spiritual works of mercy, touching lives within our parish and throughout the wider community.

Prayer remained at the heart of the campaign. We received 256 prayer intentions,  demonstrating the strength and compassion of our parish family. This outpouring of prayer reminded us that when one member of the Body of Christ suffers, the entire community responds with faith, hope, and love.

The greatest fruit of the campaign cannot be measured by numbers alone. It was seen in the renewed spirit of unity among parishioners, a deeper devotion to the Eucharist, a greater commitment to serving others, and the joyful witness of parishioners of all ages working together. As we celebrated the 250th Anniversary of the United States, our parish responded not only with patriotic gratitude but also by living the Gospel through prayer, charity, and mercy. The campaign reminded us that a parish grows stronger when its people gather to pray, serve, and love as one family in Christ.
