Roberta Moroz

Mrs. Roberta Moroz is entering her 4th year as Holy Trinity School's music teacher. She hails to us from Canada, where she studied piano with the Western Board of Music. "My favorite memories from Canada include founding and directing the youth drama group, Emmanuel's Players and directing my community's inter-church Christmas and Easter choirs," said Mrs. Moroz.

Since moving to Chicago land in the late '90s, Mrs. Moroz has worked as an activity aide in a Senior Citizens’ residence, a library and reading aide, children’s librarian and music director. She has accompanied band and orchestra students at solo/ensemble events and filled in as a substitute pianist for various churches and synagogues. She also serves as worship leader in her home church.

Mrs. Moroz earned her B. Music degree from Elmhurst College and is now working on her Masters from VanderCook College. She is certified to teach all aspects of K-12 music - vocal, band and orchestra as well as general music. She is also a member of both the state and national Music Educators Associations.

At HTS, Mrs. Moroz teaches the K-8th grade general music classes. She provides our students with private piano lessons and is pleased to be one of the founding teachers in the Carnegie Hall/Royal Conservatory program in the Chicago suburbs. This year is Mrs. Moroz’s first year as band director at HTS. As a licensed Musikgarten teacher, she also plans to open up a baby/toddler class in 2012.

Mrs. Moroz has been married for 32 years and describes her husband Andres as her best friend ever. They have raised four children, all currently involved in music ministry and/or making a living as professional musicians.
