Hi, my name is Marie Wagner and I am the school librarian. This is my second year as the librarian in our beautiful, new library and I am thrilled to be a part of the rebuilding process. This is also my 20th year at Holy Trinity School. In previous years, I have taught 2nd through 8th grade. I am a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in Lisle. Sacred Heart later joined with St. Procopius High School and is now called Benet Academy. My undergraduate degree is in Education from Northern Illinois University, and I have done graduate work in Reading at both NIU and George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
My husband and I have been married 27 years and are members of Holy Trinity parish. My two children are graduates of Holy Trinity School (Pre-school 3 to 8th grade). My son has just graduated from the University of Illinois and my daughter will graduate from North Central College in May. I also graduated from Holy Trinity (way back in 1963!), as did my seven brothers and sisters. That was when there were 60 to 80 students in a classroom. God bless those patient nuns and sisters!
Getting your sons and daughters to read and be excited about books is always my goal. I look forward to introducing them to all the wonderful books that are out there.
Thank you,
Marie Wagner
