Linda Kelly

Welcome! My name is Linda Kelly and I am one of the two kindergarten teachers at Holy Trinity. For the last two years I taught in the Pre-K program. This year, I have the unique opportunity to work with several children for the third consecutive year. I look forward to the benefits of this continuity of instruction and to fostering the growth and progress of all my students. I like to say that teaching young children is good for the soul. Where else can a grown up get away with singing, dancing, and playing games for much of the day?

My husband and I have two sons, an eighth grader and a senior in high school. We love sports and spend a lot of time watching college and professional sports and attending games. Our younger son plays baseball, football and basketball. This summer we spent several weekends traveling with his baseball team. Our older son has an encyclopedic knowledge of sports stats and trivia. He hopes to go in to broadcast journalism after college.

I grew up in Oak Lawn, Illinois and graduated from Mother McAuley High School. I received my degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. I taught for 7 years in both the South Shore neighborhood of Chicago and at Oakton School in Evanston before staying at home to raise our sons. In my free time I enjoy the company of friends, movies, reading, gardening and good food. I nurture my artistic cravings with drawing, knitting, and scrapbooking.

I am very excited to work with Mrs. Feldstein on the kindergarten team and look forward to a productive year.
