Miss Lisa Fredericks is the 3rd grade teacher at Holy Trinity School. She grew up in Lisle, was an altar server in middle school, and attended St. Joan of Arc and Benet Academy. Her educational background has given her a great understanding of the importance of Catholic education, and she works hard to ensure she is passing that knowledge and experience on to her students.
Miss Fredericks received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Western Michigan University and holds a certification in K-5 Elementary Education.
Miss Fredericks recently found her own 3rd grade writing journal which included the following entry: "When I grow up I want to be a teacher or a person who likes to work in a gym." Since these early aspirations, her passion to teach has only grown deeper. "I take pride in building a safe community in which students can learn through engaging activities," said Miss Fredericks. "I love incorporating technology in my classroom with activities on the SMART board, online study, WebQuests, and paperless communication with parents. Some of my favorite subjects to teach are the rosary, multiplication and landforms."
In her spare time Miss Fredericks loves to read, cook, and crochet. There is also no secret that she is a huge Chicago Bears Fan. What some may not know about Miss Fredericks is that she has swum in the world’s largest river, the Amazon, and has completed two Ironman Triathlons!
