This year in Physical Education we will be participating in a wide variety of activities. Each class will begin with a warm up activity. An instructional period will follow the warm up introducing a new skill that will be practiced and then reinforced during a game at the end of the period. All classes will end with a three to five minute cool down where students will be given the opportunity to ask questions or make comments about the class. It is my goal to develop and improve studentŐs movements and skills so that they can apply them in specialized sports and activities. By participating in drills and games, students will foster these skills and begin to increase and maintain physical fitness. Fitness that begins in childhood is a lifelong process. Physical activity should become part of a routine in their lives as eating and sleeping. Participation in physical activity during the childhood years will promote overall health and well being.
