Tuition Transfer Grants Available!

June 2, 2017

Dear HTCS families,

It is hard to believe that summer break is already here! This school year has progressed particularly rapidly, it seems – and has been filled with so many blessings.

Remember…

Our Mercy Pilgrmage on October 5, 2016 to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus and the Shrine of Christ’s Passion in St. John, Indiana? (I wonder where we will go next year…?)

  • The great Fun Fair that the PSO staged last autumn? (They could probably use some help over the summer with planning the next one…contact Mrs. O’Neill at her email below.)
  • The beautiful Veterans Day prayer service? (Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Arenz for planning and preparing this each year.)
  • The melodic and harmonious presentations at Lux Mundi in December?
  • The fellowship (I don’t know first hand, but I hear tell…) and successful fundraising at the Christmas tree sale?
  • The fantastic Catholic Schools Week Open House and activities? (So many visitors with so many good things to say about our school!)
  • The sweet Gala for Education at the Carlisle in February? (Another group that could certainly use an extra pair of hands this summer planning next year’s event on February 3, 2018—Mark your calendars!)
  • The Energy Fair in March? (Congratulations to Mr. Garro and Mrs. Paulsen for capturing the grant that allowed for all of that science learning this year – and to the 5th-8 th grade students for all of their “green” accomplishments!)
  • The moving Living Stations of the Cross and the incredible and prayerful offering of talent by the 7th and 8th grade students.
  • And, just a week ago, the beautiful Graduation Mass?

So many memories from this 2016-17 school year and so much growth academically, socially and spiritually for all of the HTCS Tigers. I pray that your families have a blessed summer filled with fun and rest and joy. I will miss your children and look forward to seeing them at Sneak Peek on August 21st.

In the peace of our Lord
Dr. Simon

P.S. Each student received a Summer Solutions workbook in their report card envelope. We are asking each student to complete this workbook over the summer. It contains about 3 lessons per week and each lesson should take less than a ½- hour to complete. Students who bring back their completed book on the first day of school will receive a prize (an out of uniform day and an ice cream treat.) Classes that have 100% completion by all members of the class will receive an additional prize—a movie afternoon with popcorn! You will receive periodic reminders to help you stay on top of these lessons. Let’s work together to prevent the “summer slide” in mathematics!
